Sooo here it is. A giant image I've been working on for the last 24 hours. No seriously, I have been. Well, nto 24 hours straight. I took a lunch break, and a dinner break, and a role-play break, and a "OH SHIT THAT'S A SPIDER KILL IT" break, and I did some work on another image, too.

Anyways, the idea for this came from me flipping through my old work and coming across a piece I called "butterwings." It was a catwings (relatives of the griffon; using in my storyverse), but with butterfly wings instead of eagle. I decided to roll with the concept, and presto.

OMG I hate "OH SHIT THAT'S A SPIDER KILL IT" breaks too!

I love the fairy-tale-like quality of the piece.
Certain aspects look a bit Okami-inspired, actually.

I think it was the waves in the corner in particular, for some reason. They look very much the way I sometimes see waves painted in Asian paintings, so it reminded me of Okami.
(Whether they're SIMILAR, I dunno, but it reminded me of it.)

I'm actually going to be editting this image. I was going to make the gears part of the floating rock, add more flora, and turn the waves into a sun-lookin' thing. Also, add more stuff to the BG.
